In Language Arts this week we will be reading the story, Abuela. Our center work will relate to this story. Students will work to identify words with the short e sound, identify and use words for directions, write an informal letter, and classify and categorize items into groups.
We will begin unit 4 assessment for our reading series this week.

Our handwriting and phonics lessons will relate to the letter Ee.
In GO math this week the students will take the test for chapter 9 and begin to work on chapter 10. The focus of chapter 10 is to identify and describe Three-dimensional shapes. The students will learn to describe the attributes of spheres, cubes, cylinders and cones. (CC.K. G1, CC.K.G2, CC.K.G3, CC.K.G4)
In religion we will talk about Jesus performing miracles and healing others. We will have lessons on the Beatitude of the month as well, “Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.”
Our art project this week will be Spring themed and will be a part of a new display for our hallway. We have to celebrate the first day of Spring on Friday, March 20th!!!
