In Language Arts, we will be reading the book, If You Could Go to Antarctica. Our center work will relate to this story. Students will be asked to identify words with Gg, identify and use compound words, write a list, identify and describe story characters and create a scene.

Amazing words-Antarctica, continent, icebergs, penguins, seals, whales.

High Frequency words- here, go, from.

Our phonics and handwriting lessons will relate to the letter Ee.

In Go math we will continue our work in chapter 9. The focus of this chapter is Geometry. The children will work to identify and describe the attributes of two-dimensional shapes.  Students will work specifically with rectangles and hexagons this week. We will test on Chapter 9 the beginning of next week.

In religion, we continue to talk about Lent and striving to be more like Jesus. We will have lessons on our Beatitude of the month this week which is , Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.
