In Language Arts, we will read the story Bear Snores On by Karma Wilson. Our center work will relate to this story. In particular the children will be working to use adjectives for sizes,numbers, colors and shapes. We will talk about the seasons. Their work will include discussing whether the story is fiction or non fiction as well as discussing realism and fantasy in relation to the story.

Phonics and handwriting focus- Letter Cc
In Go math, we will continue our work in Chapter 4 and will test on this chapter at the beginning of next week. The focus of this chapter is to represent and compare numbers to 10. Lessons this week include comparing matching sets to 10, comparing by counting sets to 10 and to compare two numbers.
In religion, we will have two lessons on this month’s Beatitude which is, Blessed are those who mourn for they shall be comforted.
The children will begin to work on preparations for our big Thanksgiving program on November 21st, at 9:00 AM in the Fannon Center.
